The Digital Maine Library provides every resident of Maine with access to online resources that include a collection of full text articles and abstracts from magazines, newspapers, journals and reference. It also provides students, business people, public library patrons, and higher education students and educators the ability to use online learning tools.

National Digital Equity Center logo Opens in new windowThe National Digital Equity Center provides digital skills training through 40+ classes organized around three curricula:

  • For Work & Business
  • For Home & Education
  • Aging Well With Technology

Classes range in duration from one to three one-hour class sessions. Classes are small group in nature, ranging in size from 5-10 participants.  None of the online interactive classes are available in an on-demand pre-recorded format.  Classes are designed to allow participants to get their questions answered and master the skills they need to be successful in a digital world.cloudLibrary_NewsStand_App_horizontal logo

View Walker Memorial Library's contributions on the Maine Memory Network. The Maine Memory Network, a project of the Maine Historical Society, provides access to thousands of historical items belonging to over 270 organizations from across Maine.

Bendable Maine Logo Opens in new windowBendable Maine is a lifelong learning platform that allows residents of all ages and backgrounds to acquire new knowledge and skills through online courses as well as local, in-person opportunities. Bendable Maine will launch in summer 2022. The vast majority of the learning made available through the system will be free to residents of the state. (When there is a cost to the user, it will be clearly indicated.) Bendable is an offering of the Maine State Library and the Drucker Institute, a nonprofit social enterprise based at Claremont Graduate University.
